Happy New Years Eve!

Friday, December 30th we started driving from the beach after BYU won their bowl game! Go Cougars! In our new van it was a much easier drive and we ended up going all the way. We left at 12:30 p.m. and arrived at 5:30 a.m. to a freezing cold house because we turned the heat off to save money. Even Matt was cold!
We slept for a few hours and then checked our large stack of mail. In the mail we found a gift from Abby's birth Dad's family and she was so excited to open the box and the presents. It was so kind of them to think of her. They also thought of Lily and sent her a beautiful blanket.
prepared for Matt's family to come and party for New Year's Eve. We cleaned and ran to the store and made some food and then it was party time. We exchanged gifts that night too. Abby was ecstatic at her gifts--especially a talking Woody from Grandma and Grandpa! Barbara found us a really nice clock for our house that says "Families are Forever."

This is an amazing gift given to Matt by our very creative brother-in-law. They found the cereal box on e-bay and then he built the frame and made the "N's." Isn't is awesome? Some day we will have our sports loft!
We then ate yummy food and stayed up past midnight even though we were exhausted from the drive. We are so blessed to have Matt's family within 2 hours of us. We love spending time with them whenever we get a chance and wish they would all just move to Bakersfield! We love you all!
What a year this has been! We are blessed to have 2 amazing girls, jobs, a beautiful home, friends, family and so much more. I hope 2012 is even more wonderful!!!
