Natalie's Wedding

On September 21 we all got in the van and drove to Arizona for our wonderful friend Natalie's wedding.  We had to make it a quick weekend since we all have school, but it was worth it.  She married R Jay Ward in the Mesa, AZ temple on September 22.  It was a beautiful sealing and then we went to the luncheon and reception.  We really had a great time and I don't think I've ever seen Natalie so happy.  They now live in Idaho and we miss them a lot.
Abby and Lily in the car--constantly asking when they get to see Natalie.
Happy arrival!

Natalie's Mom Megan

Natalie asked me to do her hair for the wedding and I was honored and nervous.  It took a million bobby pins but she looked so beautiful.

R Jay took my camera and shot a self portrait
Lily wandered all over while we took pictures.
Abby decided she needed to sit at the bride and groom table at the luncheon.

I also made Natalie and R Jay a video of their lives growing up and pictures of them together.  They showed it at the entrance to the reception.
We spent the evening dancing!
Lily and this little boy kept dancing and laughing together.  It was the cutest thing.

We stayed at our friends the Smolnik's and after we returned from the long day of wedding festivities Lily got partially undressed and then ran around their house.  She is so adorable I couldn't resist taking a picture!
Congratulations Natalie and R Jay.  We love you and miss you.  Why do you have to be all the way in Idaho?!

September Fun

September presented some fun--more soccer, birthday party, stake men's choir and young women's activities.

Abby's friend from dance, Emma had a great birthday party on September 15 complete with face painting, swords, shields, crafts, and more.  She had so much fun.

 Abby made the butterfly
There were wings and tutus for the girls but Abby chose the cape, sword and shield!

Lexy tried on the wings and tutu!
Lily slept during the birthday party and when she woke up she had her other favorite food--noodles!
On September 16 I had the opportunity to direct the East Bakersfield Stake Men's Choir in Stake Conference.  What a great blessing.  They sang amazingly and everyone really enjoyed hearing them.  Right before the choir sang the men presented myself, the pianist and organist with beautiful corsages.  No stake choir has ever done that for me before!
Look closely at their shirts if you can read them--Big Sister, Little Sister, Baby Sister!

I work with the Laurels in Young  Women's and they came over on September 19 to learn about digital scrapbooking.  I got to show them the blog books which they had not seen before.
I love the Laurels!
