End of June

The end of June found us dancing, doing gymnastics, painting and having fun lunch parties together.  I love my girls.
Abby went to dance about 3 times a week in the summer and had lots of different teachers.  Miss Jenny below is in charge of the dance department and Abby does really well with her.

More Garden

Our garden kept growing all summer!  We found ourselves with a tomato explosion and Matt doesn't even like tomatoes!  But he enjoys going outside and grabbing a jalapeno or green pepper.

Our Fridays at the library are a lot of fun and when Matt came the kids ended up building a car out of a box.  Abby and Matt built a great car (that Lily soon tried to take apart!).

Dance Friend Parties

Abby's dance class was full of fun friends and even after dance was over for the year we still like to get together.  On June 21 we went to Riley's house and swam in her wonderful pool, ate food and had popsicles.

June 23 another dance friend, Le Lanie invited us to her birthday party at a place where the kids get to paint a ceramic piece of their choice and it gets fired and looks amazing when they are done.  Kaitlin, Le Lanie's Mom provided amazing food and party gifts.  What fun!

Of course Abby chose a dog!

She did such an amazing job

Arizona Trip

Every 3 months I venture back to Arizona for a medical research appointment.  I am on an awesome research medication and have to due tests every 3 months to stay on it.  This time Abby and Lily accompanied me on the long drive and Dad stayed home with Lexy.  I thought that if I took Lexy it might take us an eternity to get there and get back and feared that the other girls would go crazy.  So Daddy and Lexy bonded while I took the other girls on a long drive and a very fun adventure.
Lily, Kaylee and Abby after we arrived in Arizona.  They love Natalie's bed! (June 18)
Later we went to our friends house for dinner--Carric and Jenny Smolnik.  We love them!

On the 19th we woke up early to go with the Taysom family to pick up their son, Elder Logan Taysom from the airport.  He was returning from his 2 year mission and everyone was so excited.  I think his Dad, Rex was the most excited.  He checked the boards every couple minutes!

We always go ride the carousel in the mall when we visit Tempe
The next morning (20th) I did have to go to my appointment and Natalie came with the girls so that I could start driving home immediately after the appointment.  What a wonderful friend.

Garrett Family Blog Book 2011

Maybe it's strange to take pictures of a blog book and put in on the blog, but I am very proud of it!  It is my biggest one yet and so full of wonderful memories and experiences.  Here it is!
