Lily's Sealing and Blessing

November 10, 2012 will always be a special day for the Garrett family.  It was the day for Lily became part of our eternal family.
Our temple adventure really began on the 9th as members of my family arrived.  I wish that all of my family could come but we were so grateful to have my younger brother Brent, his wife Nicole and their adorable son, Lincoln and my amazing parents.  My Mom and Dad flew from Washington state, which was quite an experience since my Mom is very ill with multiple myeloma and traveling is very difficult.  We all said lots of prayers and they made it safe and sound.  Friday night we enjoyed catching up and the kids all had fun playing together.

Here we go!  Driving to the temple on Saturday the 10th

Entering the temple at 10:15 a.m. (Our sealing was at 11:30)

Many more pictures were taken when we went inside!

We were able to take pictures in our white clothing after the sealing.  Lily didn't really like the idea much.  We added Lexy to our picture even though she was not yet able to go inside with us.  We keep praying we will be able to do the same thing very soon with her.  Then we will ALL be a forever family!

Look at all of the wonderful people who were able to enjoy our unforgettable day with us.  Thank you to all our friends and family.  We love you,
After the temple we headed to a nearby restaurant called Islands.  We had a great time but unfortunately some of the cars received tickets for parking on the street.  I felt so bad!
The Henrie girls watched all of the kids that could not go into the temple.  We wanted to say thank you for being so wonderful so we bought them lunch!  Thanks beautiful ladies.

After lunch we all drove back to Bakersfield and enjoyed some family time together and of course some more food.

What an amazing day.  We blessed Lily the next day--November 11th.  She did not really enjoy having all of these large hands placed on her tiny head, but she made it through.  It was a special blessing given by her Daddy.  I am so grateful to have a husband who is worthy to do things like that for our family.  I think back to August 1, 2011 when Lily first came through our door, carried by a caseworker, Sunya Barton.  We prayed from that moment on that these days would come and they did!  I know my prayers have been answered even though they can take an awfully long time.  I am so grateful for Lily and all she brings to our lives.  Her sweet, sensitive spirit reminds me to always take the time to show how much I love people.  We would not be complete without our special Lily bug.
