Why Doesnt My Child Sleep?

Abby's typical routine:
6am - wake up
7am - eat breakfast (oatmeal & fruit)
9:30 - eat brunch (toast & sweet potatoes)
10:15 - cry in crib
10:45 - fall asleep in crib
11am - cry until removed from crib
11:45 - eat lunch (sweet potatoes & a bottle)
3pm - eat (banana & some fruit)
4:30 - take fifteen minute nap; wake up very angry
6pm - eat dinner (sweet potatoes and adult food)
7:30 - take a bath
8:30 - drink late night bottle
9:15 - go to sleep
3am - wake up - demand bottle
3:15 - go back to sleep

So, if you do the math, she sleeps about 9 hours at night, and about half an hour during the day. This has been her schedule since she was three months old (obviously the food changed). It does not matter what time she goes to bed--she always gets up at the same time. Do you know how hard it is to get anything done when your child does not sleep? We are so exhausted!

If this is just starting to happen (a new thing), it might be she has an ear infection?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the 3 am bottle is the culprit. Time to cut her off, I say. A week of ignoring the midnight screams oughta do it. Seriously.

One more idea: bathtime every other day. It's crazy enough to work!

Hey guys! Loved all the new posts. Wish I could have heard the choir and orchestra. Next time include a video clip!! :) So... Emma is STILL not walking... but sleeps like a champ... so I guess we just can't have it all, huh? I started keeping her up later in the day and now she just takes one 2 1/2 hour nap around 1pm. It's so hard because every kid is different and reacts differently. Abby is sure a cutie though!! We need get the girls together soon.
